Day 5 - Preparing Again

We are still in Brielle, NJ. We probably could have left today but felt it was better to just wait. We looked at charts for the inside route but it would bad as it is a hallow in spots and we don’t want to hit bottom if we can help it. If we leave tomorrow we can make the run outside in the ocean. It will be quicker and easier.

We took a nice walk over the Glimmer Glass draw bridge and down to the beach near the jetty where we came in. We tried this walk yesterday but the roads were flooded due to the storm surge. It is mostly summer houses in that area. Businesses were shut down for the season. It was like a ghost town. We came back to the boat and tried to work on the TV Antenna. No luck there. I decided to do laundry. While we were waiting for the laundry we stopped and had drinks and apps at the restaurant next door. We are packed up and ready to head out tomorrow morning. Finally we are moving on!
